Which aquarium light would be best for this tank?

i woudlnt bother with “plant lights” for aquaria since you have glass between the bulb and tank…the glass blocks the UV rays…waste of money
I always just used a basic florescent, cheap little Aquarilux from Walmart…
.if you already have the hood, it should only allow either incandescent or florescent.
I wouldn’t necessarily listen to the advice already given. Not all glass is UV protective, hence the reason framing shops and museums use “Museum quality” glass that is UV protective for artwork. The glass in your hood is probably the plain or tempered glass so that grow lights can be used. Go ahead and get any light labelled for plant growth. Usually the “GLO” lights will work and also enhance the colors of your fish.

By the way, if you have a driver’s tan and you don’t stick your arm out of your car then you are living proof that not all glass is UV protective.
