I would only put in three, it is good to go by the guide 1 inch of fish = 1 gal. meaning, if you had 1 fish 2 inches long in a 2 gal tank, you shouldnt put anymore.

Make sure they aren’t agressive. Some females will kill each other or other fish. Be careful! But i would say about 2 or 3.

    about 2,3

and by the way, WHJYYYYY in the world would you want to put more than 1??????

Listen, you want a beautiful tank, ONLY put in 1,,,, geesh, you need to reask this questionl cuz you need some cool fish in your tank,,,

How about 1 female betta, 3 head and tail light tetras and 1 sunrise gourammi!! that would make a BEAUTIFUL happy tank with what you have in their currently!!!

First make sure your parameters are perfect. Ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate less than 20. You need a minimum of 3 or 4 female bettas together, 2 will likely fight. That many more fish is definitely pushing it. If you want to go for it you need to watch the water parameters, aaand the female bettas. It’s still possible they’ll fight and they might need to be seperated. Make sure you have plenty of plants on the bottom and floating so they have places to hide. Hornwort works really well as a floating plant, grows fast, and is cheap.

I believe only two, maybe three, to a tank. Although the one-inch-per-gallon rule is good to follow, it isn’t always reliable.
However, since you already have several fish, I wouldn’t put any in until there are less fish in the tank.
if you really want bettas, one-gallon bowls are good and inexpensive. If you go with the bowl, Don’t put more than two, and one is a better option. Also, you could get a male betta in the bowl (as long as he’s solitary) because male bettas are usually much more colorful than females.
    Hope this helps.

In reality you can only keep 1 betta fish per tank. They are very agressive to their own species. Females are not quite as agressive as males but you still should keep them separated.
